Mentoring as Public Infrastructure
Supported by Echidna Giving
In India, mentoring is moving from small nonprofit programmes into public education, skilling, and employment systems. This 12-month research project studies four of these government integrations, across higher education, national employment, vocational training, and secondary schools.
Through policy analysis, stakeholder interviews, and cross-case comparison, the project examines how mentoring can work as public infrastructure while keeping quality, equity, and gender responsiveness.
What the project will produce
- A research report with a design and governance framework for policymakers and system administrators.
- A practical guidance note for governments and practitioners.
